Wood & composite care

Deck cleaning shaped around wood and composite materials.

Material-aware cleaning for eligible wood and composite decks with ordinary dirt, pollen, leaf marks, and outdoor organic buildup.

About this deck cleaning service

Wood and composite decks need a different approach from concrete. Board condition, grain, fasteners, railings, coatings, shade, drainage, and previous stain or sealer all affect how an outdoor deck can be cleaned without unnecessary pressure.

Send wide photos of the entire deck, steps, and railings you want included, plus close views of splintering, loose boards, peeling finishes, stains, or dark and green buildup. Deck cleaning can improve eligible surfaces, but it is not restoration, repair, sanding, staining, or sealing.

Properties and surfaces that fit

  • Eligible wood decks with sound boards, railings, steps, and workable access
  • Eligible composite decking after the product and current condition are reviewed
  • Ordinary dirt, pollen, leaf marks, cobwebs, and outdoor organic buildup
  • Residential and rental-property decks that can be fully cleared before cleaning

Our deck cleaning approach

  1. Review the deck material, board and fastener condition, coatings, railings, steps, drainage, landscaping, and access.
  2. Identify loose, splintered, weathered, oxidized, painted, stained, or sealed areas and set expectations before work begins.
  3. Use a material-appropriate cleaning method and controlled pressure for the eligible wood or composite surfaces included in the quote.
  4. Rinse and inspect the deck, then identify stains, finish failure, weathering, or damage that remains after cleaning.

Before we arrive

  • Remove furniture, rugs, grills, planters, toys, string lights, and loose decorations from the deck and nearby spray area.
  • Point out loose boards, raised fasteners, splinters, rot, repairs, peeling finishes, paint, stain, sealer, or known product requirements.
  • Close nearby doors and windows, secure items below an elevated deck, and identify exterior outlets or sensitive landscaping.
  • Keep people and pets clear during cleaning and allow the deck to dry before returning furniture or normal foot traffic.

Results, limits, and conditions that may change the plan

  • Deck cleaning does not include sanding, staining, sealing, painting, board replacement, structural repair, or a restoration guarantee.
  • Rot, loose or splintered boards, protruding fasteners, failing railings, unstable steps, or structural concerns may need repair before cleaning.
  • Old coatings, deep stains, tannin marks, rust, fading, oxidation, uneven weathering, and some organic discoloration may remain.
  • Painted, heavily weathered, newly installed, previously damaged, or manufacturer-restricted materials may not qualify or may require a different provider.

Frequently asked

Questions to answer before scheduling.

Do you pressure wash wooden decks?

We do not treat wood like concrete. The method and pressure depend on the wood, grain, finish, age, and condition, and some damaged or heavily weathered decks may not qualify.

Can you clean composite decking?

Eligible composite decks may be cleaned after we review the product, condition, coatings, staining, and manufacturer guidance available for the material.

Will deck cleaning remove mold or old stains?

Cleaning can improve ordinary surface buildup, but we cannot identify every growth by appearance or guarantee removal of deep stains, weathering, oxidation, or discoloration within the material.

Do you stain, seal, repair, or restore decks?

No. The advertised service is cleaning for eligible wood and composite decks. Staining, sealing, sanding, repair, and restoration are outside the current scope.
